Definition of Computer

A device that computes, especially a programmable electronic machine, performs high-speed mathematical or logical operations.

A device that can assemble, store, correlate, or process information.

An electronic device that stores retrieve and process data can be programmed with instructions.

A computer is composed of hardware & software and can exist in various sizes and configurations. It is an electronic device that is used to process data. 

The word computer comes from the word “compute”, which means, “to calculate”.The computer is an electronic device that can perform arithmetic operations at high speed. 

A computer is also called a data processor because it can store, process, and retrieve data.

Automatic – A computer is an automatic device, it can do its operations/jobs without any 
                      human intervention.

High Speed – It can perform arithmetic and logical operations at a very high speed  

Accuracy – The computer is the most accurate device.

Diligence – The computer is free from tiredness  and lack of concentration

Versatility – It can perform a wide variety of tasks at the same time like Multiprocessing,  

                     Multiprogramming.

Memory –  Memory is one of the main features of a computer can store huge
                   amount of information.
