Computers as per Size

Micro Computers

A microcomputer is designed for personal use. A Micro Computer is small in size and assembled with a microprocessor, memory for storage, input, and output devices. All the devices are connected to a single circuit board called Motherboard. Now, these computers become more powerful with the network facility. Mostly Intel Pentium and AMD microprocessors are used in microcomputers.

Mini Computers

Minicomputers are designed to connect several people within a medium-sized business environment. These computers are capable of supporting a few users to a hundred users simultaneously. Minicomputers can handle multi-users and support interactive applications.

Mainframe Computers

Mainframe computers are used for high-performance computing. These computers can handle a huge volume of data with high-speed online transaction processing. High-end microprocessors are used to build mainframe computers.

Super Computers

As the name implies these computers are the world's fastest computers. The supercomputer is designed to solve complex mathematical, scientific, aerodynamics, and many more problems. The supercomputer can process multi-variant issues within a specified time. The supercomputer's speed can be measured in FLOPS(Floating Point Operations Per Second).
