Analog computers were used to compute mathematical,
physical and technical data. These computers recognize inputs in the form of signals
and convert them into a numeric value.
For exp:- A thermometer measures the temperature of
the body
2. Digital Computer:
A digital computer is an electronic computing machine that uses 0 and 1 (Binary numbers) to represent all forms of
information in digital form. A typical digital computer system has four basic
functional elements.
- Input/output devices
- Main memory
- Control unit
- CPU (ALU+CU)
3.Hybrid Computer:
Hybrid computers are computers that include features
of analog computers and digital computers.
Eg:- Digital speedometer in motor vehicles
